Safa — Terms of Service
Effective date: 22 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Safa ("Safa", "we"). Safa is a trading name of the holder of Dubai DET Licence No. 1156573, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. They apply when you use the Safa web app at safa-ai.com or the Safa connectors in Claude, Slack and Microsoft Teams. By creating an account or using Safa, you accept these terms. If you use Safa for a company, you confirm that you may accept them for that company.
Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal information.
1. What Safa does
Safa reads purchase invoices and tells you how to book the VAT: the VAT treatment, the tax code and the account, with the reason and the law behind it. In the web app, Safa can also check what was booked against the VAT export from your ERP.
Safa applies the VAT rules of the countries it supports. Today that is the United Arab Emirates. We show other countries as coming soon until their rules are live.
2. Safa is not tax or legal advice
Safa is a tool that helps you check invoices. It is not tax, legal or accounting advice, and it does not replace a qualified tax adviser. Safa can make mistakes, for example when an invoice is unclear or a rule has changed.
You remain responsible for your bookings, your VAT returns and everything you file with a tax authority. Review Safa's answers before you rely on them, and ask a tax adviser when you are unsure.
3. Your account
- Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Each account is for one person. Sign in with your own authenticator app and keep it safe.
- You are responsible for what happens in your account, including what colleagues you invite do in it.
- Tell us straight away at hello@safa-ai.com if you think someone else has used your account.
You must be at least 18 and use Safa for business purposes.
4. Your invoices and data
Your invoices, ERP exports and results stay yours. You give us permission to store and process them only to provide Safa to you, as our privacy policy describes.
Only send documents you are allowed to share with us. Invoices often contain information about other people and companies; you are responsible for having a lawful reason to share it.
5. Limits
- A file Safa cannot read as an invoice is marked unrecognised and is not counted.
- To keep Safa reliable for everyone, we limit how many attempts can be made in a short time, for example when signing in.
6. Plans, invoices and payment
- New connector accounts start with 5 free invoices. Some plans include a free trial, as shown when you sign up.
- Paid plans include a set number of invoices and companies each month. Annual plans cost 12 months' price less 20%.
- Invoice credits are used after your free or plan invoices run out. They stay valid for 12 months from purchase, and you do not need a plan to buy them.
- Prices are in UAE dirhams (AED), as shown on our website and at checkout. Payments are taken by Stripe.
- Plans renew automatically until you cancel. If you move to a larger plan, the change starts straight away and you pay the difference for the rest of the period. If you move to a smaller plan, the change starts at the end of the period you have paid for.
- You can cancel at any time from Settings → Subscription. Your plan keeps running until the end of the period you have paid for. Except where the law requires otherwise, payments already made are not refunded.
- We may change our prices. We will tell you before a new price applies to your plan, and it will take effect from your next renewal.
7. Acceptable use
Do not:
- break the law, or upload material you have no right to share;
- try to get into accounts or data that are not yours, or test Safa's security without our written permission;
- disrupt the service, overload it, or get around its limits;
- copy, scrape or resell Safa or its results as your own service, or use them to build a competing product; or
- upload malicious files.
8. Changes to Safa
We improve Safa all the time, so features may change. Features we describe as coming soon are plans, not promises. We will tell you in advance if we remove something important from a plan you have paid for.
Safa runs on outside services such as our hosting, AI and payment providers, and on Claude, Slack and Teams when you use them. We work to keep Safa available but cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors.
9. Suspending or closing an account
You can close your account at any time by emailing hello@safa-ai.com.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts the service or other users at risk, or has unpaid fees. Where reasonable, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.
10. Liability
Safa is provided "as is". As far as the law allows:
- we do not give any promise that Safa's answers are complete or correct for your situation;
- we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profit, lost data, or penalties and interest charged by a tax authority; and
- our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit, such as for fraud.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will show the new effective date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you by email or in the app before they apply. If you keep using Safa after a change applies, the new terms apply to you. If you do not agree, you can cancel as described above.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai. If we cannot settle a dispute by talking to each other, the courts of Dubai will decide it.
